A. There isnโt singular word that encapsulates art. Upon discovering and delving into the dominion of art, I experience an external surge of energy.
Q. What was the initial inspiration that led you to pursue a career as an artist?
A. My teacher, who comes from a monk background, played a big role in helping us with schoolwork and inspiring us in many ways. Because of him, I have been able to develop as an artist and he has greatly contributed to shaping my journey as an artist.
Q. Could you provide an overview of your artistic style and the medium or subject matter that you prefer to engage with in your work?
A. I engage in various art styles, encompassing smoke art, contemporary approaches, traditional methods, and fabric-based creations.
Q. Among the diverse art styles you work with, such as smoke, traditional, and contemporary, which one do you find most comfortable to work with?
A. Having graduated from Zorig Chusum, I find it more comfortable to delve into traditional paintings. When it comes to traditional art, there are certain rules that as an artist, one should adhere to, such as the use of geometric lines. In contrast, with contemporary art, we have the freedom to paint by applying our skills and unleashing creativity without the same limitations.
Q. As an artist, have you ever taken part in competitions, whether on a national or international level?
A. I competed on an international stage in a competition organized by a global art agency, and I achieved the first-place position.
Q. What emotion do you aim to communicate through your art?
A. As an artist, my primary objective is to narrate compelling stories about our ancestors. Embracing the role of a traditional artist, I see myself as a pillar entrusted with the responsibility of preserving and conveying our cultural heritage. While rooted in tradition, our institute also strives to integrate contemporary ideas, recognizing that conveying messages is often more accessible through modern concepts.
Q. Do you have a particular artwork that stands out as your favorite among all your pieces?
A. I have a piece in which I invested a considerable amount of effort; it revolves around my brotherโs departure from the country. At that time, my father conveyed a profound sense of sadness, emphasizing that everyone was venturing abroad. I sought to capture the emotions associated with the widespread trend of people leaving the country and forging their own paths in life. Additionally, I aimed to depict how our festivals and various aspects of life are influenced by other nations.
Q. Has anyone, whether from the past or present, served as inspiration for your work?
A. Upon completing my education, certain individuals among my seniors and juniors at the institute became a source of inspiration for me. Additionally, receiving compliments from others about my artwork served as a significant motivator.
