A: I had always dreamed of becoming an anchor, and my chance came when I saw a Facebook post about a news channel looking for a female anchor. Eagerly, I applied, sending in my details and a short video of me presenting a news snippet. After a few anxious days, I was thrilled to receive an invitation for the first round of auditions. Traveling to Thimphu was both exciting and nerve-wracking. The final audition was held in a professional studio, and the competition was fierce. We were given a script to present and an impromptu segment to discuss a recent event. I focused on maintaining eye contact, clarity, and engagement throughout my delivery. A few days later, I received the life-changing call that I had been selected as the new anchor. This experience taught me the importance of preparation, confidence, and stepping out of my comfort zone. It marked the beginning of an exciting career that I had always dreamed of.
