In the 2021โs Class XII examinations set by Bhutan Council for School Examinations and Assessment (BCSEA) โ Karma Academy produced five national toppers.
Karma Academy bagged the first position in both commerce and arts streams. It also bagged the second position in each of the two streams. For the science stream, it bagged the third position.
The school bagged five national topper positions.
Living by the motto, โOur Best Alwaysโ, the school principal unveils that the collective effort of all led to the achievement. โIt is all because of unequivocally consistent hard work, good discipline, terrific team, highly motivated students, and obviously parents and our well-wishers’ prayers,โ said Dorji Tshering.
He also added, โif we wish to move the needle, we need to go beyond what is expected of us and always agree to take that extra mileโ.
Talking about the achievement, the school principal said: โHis Majesty will and forever remain our source of wisdom and inspiration,โ adding that it is this reason, the school doesnโt settle for bureaucratic, it strives for excellence and expects everyone to do their best and give their best.
According to Dorji Tshering, Karma Academy has been doing great and has produced an extremely good result in terms of overall performance. โThe result has been good in terms of sending a majority of students to CST, Sherubtse, and Gedu College of Business Studies,โ he added.
Karma Academyโs overall pass percentage is 99.1 percent. For the science stream, it is 100 percent, for the commerce stream is 97.75 percent and for arts, it is 99.39 percent.
In terms of admission criteria, however, the additional provision the school set to the commonly applied criteria, Karma Academy has provision for students with low marks and low socio-economic background. โWe help with the admission of the student if they have a low socio-economic after doing a background check,โ the principal said.
From Karma Academy, 561 appeared for the BCSEA, in 2022.
